PDE Orthosis
The Posterior Dynamic Element (PDE) allows the client to benefit from advanced orthotic function.
The PDE is modular meaning it can change as you do. Your Orthotist can adjust the alignment and stiffness of your PDE to improve your experience.
There are 25 carbon fibre struts to choose from depending on your height, weight, and activity level, enabling you to be involved in the adjustment of your AFO. The PDE can be incorporated into a KAFO and a range of thermoplastic struts are also available.
The PDE Orthosis
Steve was diagnosed with the neurological disorder CIDP and has prescribed a pair of walking & water PDE AFOs.
The PDE has been engineered to maximise your experience by harnessing energy stored in the carbon fibre strut before propelling your leg forward to compensate for weakened musculature.
