Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)

FES devices such as the XFT are prescribed to compensate for foot drop.

The XFT-G3 stimulates the lower leg to contract the muscles responsible for picking up the foot during swing phase.

FES devices are suitable to individuals with:

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Acquired or Traumatic Brain Injuries

  • Stroke

  • Cerebral Palsy

  • Spinal Cord Injury

FES devices can be used as your primary mobility devices or as an adjunct to your AFO.
FES Devices may allow you to walk barefoot, in thongs or slippers with increased safety if you have foot drop.
