What is the MyoPro?

MyoPro is a powered upper limb device designed to help restore function and allow you to perform activities of daily living that might otherwise be impossible. The MyoPro may also facilitate rehabilitation including muscle re-education and increasing range of motion.

MyoPro is the only portable wearable device on the market to help restore function for those who still have their arms and hands but are unable to use them.

The MyoPro is not an FES device: it does not stimulate the muscles with electricity. The device works by reading nerve signals (myoelectric signals) with electrodes that are positioned over specific muscles in the forearm and upper arm.

By reading the nerve signals, small motors are activated to move the user’s arm or hand as intended even if they are unable to move their hand or arm independently. The wearer is in complete control of their hand, wrist, elbow and arm while the myoelectric device amplifies weak nerve signals to help move their upper limb. If the MyoPro is suitable for you, support, education and training will be provided as part of the treatment plan.
